SLX 7.2.0 and Windows Vista

We have a client that cannot log into SLX 7.2.0 on a Vista OS.  It seems to lock at "initializing data access".  They are SQL 2005 and have the sql native client installed.  The machines running XP can login fine.  The only way a user on the Vista machine can get into SLX is if they are a domain admin.  Has anyone else encountered this?

On another note, the same client cannot access the administrator from a Vista machine at all.  The administrator opens but then almost immediately closes.

Thank you for any advice,

Dennis

You should check all the HF's for 7.2.0 - some are available for Vista - also, make sure you follow this process:

Re: SLX 7.2.0 and Windows Vista

Hi Dennis

For "The administrator opens but then almost immediately closes." - This tends to be related to the loading of the users.  Try closing the users window, before the app can close.  If you catch it in time, the app should remain open, allowing you to go into Tools -Options and changing the Show on StartUp checkbox to something other than users.  The weird thing is that once you have managed to get the app open, it is usually possible to open the users with no problem, just seems to be related to when the Users screen is loaded at startup!

Good Luck

Nick
