Sage SalesLogix 7.5.3

I see 7.5.3 is officially released, but does anyone know if Outlook/Exchange 2010 support made the release..?

Coming Later.. "2010" not part of SP3.

The latest compatability doc is on the support site.

Re: Sage SalesLogix 7.5.3

7.5.3 is not supporting office 2010.

You will have to wait.

Re: Sage SalesLogix 7.5.3

v7.5.3 introduced support for Office 2010. It was qualified for this release (note: these other threads pre-date with what actually happened).

Re: Sage SalesLogix 7.5.3

Then why does it crash Outlook 2010?

We do not use intellisync

Re: Sage SalesLogix 7.5.3

Are you running 64 bit versions of 2010 or 32 bit? SalesLogix only supports 32 bit versions of office.. even on 7.5.4.

Re: Sage SalesLogix 7.5.3

I give up - why does Outlook crash ? If this is an intelligent question (rather than the current asinine one) - post some more details (how, when, why, what explicit version of dll's) - don't expect us to guess the problem and the solution.

Re: Sage SalesLogix 7.5.3

The tone of your response is completely out of line. Thank you for that

However we are on office 2010 32 bit

Windows 7 64 bit

7.5.3 has been installed and working fine on 2007 for a long period of time

We are NOT intellisync users.

How am I to guess the necessary steps to get this to work?  I would appreciate a courteous reply with the steps as I cannot locate anything on your web site thus far indicating how to get this to work properly.

[ Edited ]

You have to admit - it was completely lacking in any form of detail whatsoever to be able to help you at all. This is a community website (not mine personally) therefore everyone helps each other - not just jump in with questions and expect answers - especially as the question lack the basic details to offer any form of decent reply. So, the dll's (there are 2) are registered correctly ?

If not, follow these steps:

1) Quit Outlook & SLX (as SLX will keep Outlook open).

2) Using an elevated cmd prompt - Go to c:\program files (x86)\saleslogix

3) Type:

regsvr32 slmn.dll

regsvr32 slxab32.dll

This will register the two dlls required.

Now: Using Explorer - find outcmd.dat (from C:\ downwards) and delete it if it exists.

Finally, run Outlook. Login to SLX (as the user) when prompted to do so.

The 2 buttons should now exist. If it fails after that - let us know at what point (loading, running) and the error it generates.

Also, ensure in File | Addins that none of the add-ins are disabled. Re-enable them if so.

Also, you'd be better off getting the 7.5.4 DLL's (you don't need to upgrade, just these two dl's mentioned above) and install them following same procedure. They are backwardly compatible but, from a newer version.
