Do we really need the people tags?

The tag cloud for the site will drop in value if everyone starts tagging all their posts with their name or initials. Do we really need that? You can just as easily go to a user's profile and see all their posts. Adding the tags will only make the tag clould significantly less useful.

Hi Ryan,

You can filter the cloud to display only your tags by doing the following:

Click the My Profile link.

Select the Tagging tab.

Scroll down to Tag Cloud Content Filters.

Select My Tags.

Click Save Changes.

Switching the tag cloud off or to only view my own tags only removes the usefulness of the tag cloud further. I do like tag clouds, but if all they consist of is people's initials or names to tout how many posts they've made it is useless.

Oh well, I can't control everyone ( since my mind control app isn't done yet )
