Question: Can a remote only have attachments they request?
In other words, if I check the Sync File Attachments flag then attachments will be synced based on my subscription rules but I only want attachments on my PC that I specifically request! Is THAT possible?

The problem comes not from the size of the files but the number of files in one directory. Compressing Once you get more than 100,000 files in one directory the OS takes mins to return even one small file. The solution is not to put 100,000 files in one directory. The Saleslogix attachment system is flawed in this regard and is not designed to be scalable for any company of real size. Assume you have 100 users creating 3-7 documents per day within 3 months the attachments system is unusable.
The fix is simple enough. Reported as an issue years ago.
