Hi Kirk. Let me ask a question but first -- I have not seen this error (sorry).
Did you just install the Service Pack?
If so delete the output files before the building. Be sure to do a rebuild (since that builds everything regardless of changes). Watch the output window or build window if you open it (look for red stuff).
I have seen things like this when upgrading and this usually solves any problems, if it does not then sorry for taking your time!
Another thing to check (but probably not in this case) is to take a backup of your deployment (not available in 7.2) -- then delete the slxclient contents (not the folder itself).
Also - we are going to talk about debugging techniques at boot camp. This isn't specifically on the list, but I though I would mention it. We will have a broken bundle and get feedback on different techniques everyone uses to find the problem.
