SLX Web 7.5 - Launch Crystal Report From Button

Hey All,

I am doing development on Saleslogix Web 7.5 SP 1.

I have a dialog with a unique entityID. In the form, I have a button from which I want to launch a crystal report.

I don't know how to do this. Any help would be much appreciated.

The best way would be to use the new Reporting addon included in the folowing post.

When I click on the link I get to a page that tells me:

Access Denied

Sorry, you do not have sufficient privileges for that action.

Please click the Back button on your browser.

Any way to get around that?

That link is to an area that is available to Sage and SalesLogix BP's only.

Have your BP login and download it for you.

Here's a solution that has been available for some time: Get a copy of DevLogix V by Stephen Redmond (www.slxMaster.com). On Page 247 there is an example on how to do exactly what you want to do.

FYI 7.5.1 made changes to how the reporting configuration is accessed and requires mods to Stephen's code.

We'll just have to prod Stephen to issue and update ;-)
