I can say their (other Sage groups) approach is much easier to work with.
Have you talked w/the people responsible for the other Sage communities as to why they switched over?
RJ,
Thanks for the quick response.
We are asking for usability specifics, so we explore how to improve the community forum we have today. It looks we have very similar functionality, except their layout is less cluttered. So, it would be helpful to better understand some specific items that would be an improvement in this forum.
We will talk with the other product teams to get their feedback as well. It looks like the forum is not part of their communities, and it don't seem to have Single-Sign-On for the community and ideas area. So, while it does cross products, it doesn't seem to cross communities.
If you can provide some examples or specifics we can work on while we test our next upgrade, it would be extremely helpful.
Thanks.
While I find the group lists in IdeaLogic a bit confusing, I feel that the lack of threaded discussion for the comments on each forum post is the biggest shortcoming.
With the IdeaLogix forum is it very, very difficult to determine which reply comments you have not read.
Note that it does not look to me like that is any better on the MAS forums that RJ listed. Pretty much just works the same as this IdeLogix forum with a small improvement being more logical group lists for the idea posts.
I would like the IdeaLogix forum to function pretty much like all other forums, with the addition of the status field and an ability to sort/group/list forum posts; byCreatedate, byLastRepliedTo, by Status, by KUDO count.
Good Points Todd.
Yes, the software the Accounting/ERP groups are using is a bit "cleaner" but (as you pointed out) they both significantly lack in several ways.
