The Sage SalesLogix community is permissions based - what you see on the community is determined by the permissions you have been granted.
Some permissions are earned through a ranking structure as a member becomes more active and involved in the community. Rankings are based on a variety of different measurements. As a member progresses through the ranks they will acquire different ranking names and icons which also may grant them extended privileges on the community.
Other permissions are granted by roles which designate a specific group of members. These members may have access to private areas on the community where they can gather to talk about topics and interests specific to that group. Icons representing those groups appear next to each members screen name. Here is a short summary of the different groups with special permissions/access:
"Truth through transparency" is our goal here on the community. Sage employees who aren't moderators or administrators on the community are clearly identifiable with this icon. If you are a Sage employee and you do not see this icon next to your screen name in your profile, please request access.
Moderators are identified by this headset icon. We have several moderators for different areas of the Sage SalesLogix community. Our moderators help to maintain a positive and healthy environment on the community by enforcing community guidelines, responding to abuse reports, managing members posts and users and responding to member suggestions and requests.
Community Administrators and the Community Manager are represented by this icon. Administrators can grant and remove member permissions. In addition to granting permissions, the Community Manager creates and manages all aspects of the community structure including set up and maintenance of forums (a.k.a. boards), blogs and announcements as well as the layout (or look and feel) of the community.
Represents our Sage SalesLogix Business Partners in North America. Business Partners have special forums where they can discuss and share information among their peers. If you are a North America Business Partner and do not have this icon next to your screen name in your profile, please request access.
Although the Sage SalesLogix community has been primarily created for and supported by Sage SalesLogix in North America, we recognize members, including business partners, from around the globe. This icon is a special designation for our Sage SalesLogix Business Partners outside of North America. Like our North America Business Partners, International Business Partners have special forums where they can discuss and share information among their peers. If you are a Business Partner outside of North America and do not have this icon next to your screen name in your profile, please request access.
This icon represents our Beta/RC Site test participants. To ensure the best products possible, we test new versions of our products prior to release with the help of our partners and customers. Beta/RC test participants are given this special role during the Beta/RC process which grants them access to private boards where they can share in a free flow of dialogue. This icon will only be present during the beta process and will be removed once the beta has been completed. We are always looking for participants. Designates our Customer Advisory Board (CAB) members. CAB members have access to a special forum designed to foster discussions among its members about Sage SalesLogix, its use, and its future direction.
